Clifford C. Allen, age 88, lifetime Dorset Twp. resident, died Wednesday afternoon at his daughter’s home in N. Kingsville.

He was born June 2, 1929 in Dorset on the farm that is his current residence, the son of Austin J. & Rachel A. (Leiby) Allen.  He was married to Hazel M. Miller on January 21, 1950 at the Dorset Methodist Church parsonage.

Mr. Allen was a lifetime farmer and carpenter and owned and operated C. C. Allen Wood Products in Dorset Twp.  He also worked at Inland Container in Ashtabula for many years.  He was of the Baptist faith and a former member of the Denmark Grange.  He enjoyed model airplanes, gardening and fishing with his father-in-law.  He and his family vacationed in Florida for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel, 11 children, Susan (Lyle) Sizemore of Wewahitchka, FL, Karen Allen of Ashtabula, Michael (Patty) Allen of Dorset, Clifford Allen, Jr. of Pierpont, Kathleen (Jeff) Wann of Washington, IL, Diane (William) Dismukes of Williamsfield, Jayne (Steve) Strull of N. Kingsville, Rebecca Frain of Dorset, Margaret Johnson of Lenox, Mary Allen of N. Kingsville & Alleen (Roger) Santee of N. Kingsville, 30 Grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, a brother, Merle (Sarah) Allen of Chandler, AZ, one sister, Winifred Keep of Dorset, a sister-in-law, Dorothy Allen of Plymouth Twp. and a brother-in-law, Leroy Miller of Huron, TN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Robert, Austin, Jr., Howard, Donald & William Allen, a sister, Marie Wiser, a grandson, Richard Sizemore and a great-grandson, Tristan McCabe.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 12:00 P. M. at the Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson with Tom Allen leading the service.  Burial will be in Dorset Cemetery.
