Deloris A. King, age 91, longtime resident on Austinburg Rd. in Plymouth Twp. passed away peacefully Friday morning with her family by her side.

She was born May 9, 1925 in Middlebourne, WV, the daughter of George & Blanche (Smith) Adams and has resided in the Ashtabula area since the age of 16.  She was married to Herbert King, Sr. on December 24, 1946 at the First Christian Church in Ashtabula.  Mrs. King was a retired employee of the Western Reserve Telephone Co.

She was a member of the First Christian Church until it’s closing, then the Trinity Presbyterian Church, the Women’s Club of Ashtabula, the Ladies of the Elks and she enjoyed sewing, gardening, quilting, reading and being with her family.

Survivors include two children, Dennis G. (LuAnn) King of North Kingsville & Nancy L. (Jim) Partridge of Ashtabula, a daughter-in-law, Shirley King of Northport, FL, five grandchildren, Robert King, Mark (Echo) King, Mike Partridge, Matt (Jamie) Partridge & Adam Partridge and two great-grandsons, Zachery & Avery King.  Her parents, her husband, Herbert in 2014, a son, Herbert E. “Woody” King, Jr., and four siblings, Ruth Smith, Doris Tustin and Ralph & Gene Adams all preceded her in death.

For the last 15 months Deloris was a resident of Serenity Suites Assisted Living.  Mrs. King and her family would like to express their appreciation to the staff and residents for their kind and loving care support.

 A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 7:00 P. M. at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 526 W. Prospect Rd., Ashtabula with Alisa Nierzejewski, certified celebrant leading the service.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5-7 P.
