Marilyn A. Park, age 82, former long time resident of Jefferson and resident of Zephyrhills, FL the past five years, died Saturday afternoon at her daughter, Sherry Martin’s home in Jefferson.

 

She was born May 3, 1933 in Dorset Twp., the daughter of Loyd & Florence (Phelps) Harvey and lived in this area all of her life until 2011.  She and her husband, Francis L. “Buzz” Park, whom she married on April 14, 1973 in Jefferson, wintered in Zephyrhills since 1997.  Mrs. Park was payroll clerk with A & B Dock Co., then at J & L. Steel & Union Dock before retiring in 1981.

 

Marilyn was a member of the Jefferson Church of the Nazarene and was very active with the Missionary Alliance Church in Zephyrhills.  Her interests included golf, bowling, crocheting, reading and embroidering.

 

Survivors include three children, Sherry A. (Gerald) Martin of Jefferson, Scott O. (Kim) Dunford of Thompson & Cary A. (Diana) Dunford of Jefferson, eight step-children, Connie Rae Taylor of Orlando, FL, Donna L. Brown of Land of Lakes, FL, Sandra L. Lendzian, Cheryl G. (Fred) Shelatz, Rick E. (Joyce) Park, M. Randall (Linda) Park, Denise D. (Robert) Kapferer & Jeffrey W. (JoEllen) Park all of Jefferson 29 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and two brothers, Ralph (Carol) Harvey of Jefferson & Lawrence (Susan) Harvey of New Carlisle.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Francis in 2001 and a step-daughter-in-law, Marcia C. Park in 2010.

 

Private graveside services will be held in Oakdale Cemetery with her grandson, The Rev.
