Melissa M. Wheeler, 32 of Ashtabula died unexpectly at her home on February 10th. She was born July 26, 1984 in Ashtabula the daughter of Steve and Angela (McKinney) Wheeler and has been a lifetime area resident.

She was a 2002 graduate of Ashtabula Lakeside and had worked along the side of her father at Steve’s Car Care.

She enjoyed sports and was a very good baseball player. She was one of the first girls who played on an all-boys Little League team and she was an All Star.

Surviving her are her parents, Steve and Angela Wheeler of Ashtabula; her daughter, Dilynne Wheeler of Ashtabula; her brother, Jeremy (Danae) Wheeler of Lakewood, CO; a niece, Colette and two nephews, Maddox and Grayson and her maternal grandmother, Bonnie McKinney of Ashtabula. She was preceded in death by her partner, Lacy Gramlet; her maternal grandfather, David McKinney and her paternal grandparents,  Mickey and Kaino Wheeler.

At her request there will be no service but a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Contributions in her memory can be made to Dilynne Wheeler in care of Steve and Angela Wheeler.
