Richard “Dick” Gordon, age 80 of Jefferson, died Saturday, May 14, 2016 at the Jefferson Healthcare Center.  He was born on April 24, 1936 in Cuyahoga County, the son of Maynard G. & Mildred F. (Neff) Sheffield.

He worked in the egg industry for many years caring for up to 600 hens by feeding, watering and maintaining their environment.  He also proudly worked for Ashcraft Industries for over 20 years.  He loved to drive Farmall tractors.  He was a skilled musician and taught himself how to play the accordion, harmonica, organ and piano all by sound. 

He is survived by a dear friend, Margaret Hamper of Jefferson and many other loving friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents.
