Alberta Rose Lipps

Alberta Rose Lipps, age 73 of Austinburg, died Friday, March 1, 2019 at Hillcrest Hospital. She was born on June 1, 1945 in Webster, W. Va., the daughter of John & Eva (Fisher) Bender.

She worked as a daycare provider and enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren. 

She is survived by her children, Gerald C. Lipps Jr. of Austinburg, Joseph D. Lipps of Rome, Christine M. (William Middleton) Peggs of Austinburg; siblings, Harley Bender of Stanton, VA, Wanita Shriver of Clarksburg, W. Va, Louise Channel of Columbiana, Jean Rector of Clarksburg, W. Va, Della (Emery)Cowgar of Nutter Fort, W. Va, Donald Bender of Jefferson; grandchildren, Samantha (Rodney Focht)Peggs, Scott Peggs, Miranda(Justin Berg) Peggs and Gabriel Middleton.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald C. Lipps; siblings, Ruby Skeens,  Anne Channel, Ruth Bright, Hartzel Bender and William Bender.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 8, 2019 at 11:00 A. M. at the Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, with Pastor Cathy Harris officiating.  Burial will be in Hamden Twp. Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 7th from 6:00-8:00 P. M. at the Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman.  In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the family.  Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
