Annabelle Otto, 97 of Ashtabula died Sunday (Dec. 23rd) at her home. She was born September 6, 1921 in Denmark Township the daughter of Frank and Edna (Wiser) Asp and has been a lifetime area resident.
She was a 1939 graduate of Ashtabula High. Annabelle had worked at Carlisle’s Stowaway Restaurant for 11 years. She married Francis Otto on July 21, 1940 at Harris Memorial Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir and had been a deaconess. Annabelle loved gardening, being outside, crafts and sewing.
Surviving her is her son, Donald F. Otto of Ashtabula; her daughter Janice Kelley of Ashtabula; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren and seven great- great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Francis in 1989; a sister, Thelma Lister and twin great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Friday (Dec. 28th) at 11:00 AM at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 526 W. Prospect Rd. Ashtabula with Rev. Joyce Shellhammer officiating. Burial will be in Saybrook Township Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in her memory can be made to Cross Roads Hospice, 9775 Rockside Rd. Suite 270, Valley View, Ohio 44125.
