Concelia Marie Ende

Concelia M. Ende, 84 of Ashtabula died Wednesday (March 21st) at the Country Club Retirement Campus. She was born May 26, 1933 in Cleveland, Ohio the daughter of Pasquale and Carmela (Peluso) Salvatore and has been an Ashtabula resident since 1963.

She was a graduate of East High School in Cleveland where she was a majorette and was on the swim team.

She met her husband Gerald when she worked in the public relations department at the Cleveland Electric Illumining Company in Cleveland and they were married for 58 years.

She is an active member of Our Lady of Peace Parish and in her younger years she played the organ at Mother of Sorrows Church and worked in the library at Mother of Sorrows Elementary School.

She was a classical trained musician who also enjoyed baking, crocheting, computer games, and gardening. She was also an avid reader and a wonderful seamstress.

She was a soft spoken gentle soul who loved her children and grandchildren and was a loving sister.

Surviving her are her eight children, Charlene (Keith) Knudson of Cleveland, Lawrence (Cindy) Ende of Phoenix, AZ, Joseph (Jessica) Ende of Los Angeles, CA, Martin Ende of St. Louis, MO, Gary (Jennifer) Ende of Ashtabula, Edward Ende of Ashtabula, Donald (Tanisha) Ende of El Paso, TX and Maria Ende of Ashtabula; five grandchildren, Michael, John, Noah, Lily, and Alexis; two great grandchildren, Christopher and Violet and her sister, Annette Salvatore in Thompson, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald in 2013 and by her brother, Leslie Salvatore.

A mass of Christian burial will be Monday (March 26th) at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Peace, Mt Carmel Church, 1200 East 21st St.  Ashtabula, Ohio with Rev. Father Edward Gretcho officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Saybrook Township.

Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to Bella Care Hospice, 1933 State Route #45, Austinburg, Ohio 44010.
