James Arthur Jeffers

James A. Jeffers, age 59, died Tuesday morning at his residence in Jefferson.

He was born December 16, 1959 in Ashtabula, the son of Arthur & Pauline (Eastlake) Jeffers and has been an Ashtabula County resident all of his life.

Mr. Jeffers was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force.  He was a self-employed carpenter.  He was an avid hunter much of his life.

Survivors include two sons, Jason (Sandra) Jeffers of Akron & James (Becky) Jeffers of Jefferson; eight grandchildren and four brothers, Jerry (Frances) Jeffers of Saybrook Twp., Paul (Mary) Jeffers of Jefferson, Tommy (Darla) Jeffers & Marty (Colleen) Jeffers, both of Ashtabula.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Andrew Jeffers.

A memorial service will be held Saturday (9/28/19) at 11:00 AM at the Eagleville Bible Church, 1981 St. Rt. 45 North, Rock Creek, OH with Pastor Steve Arsulic officiating.  Memorial contributions may be directed to the family, in care of James Jeffers, P.
