Brad Harvey Obituary

Brad Allen Harvey, 53, of Akron died unexpectedly on March 20, 2023. 

He was born on December 28, 1969 in Ashtabula, Ohio.  He was the son of Ralph A Harvey and the late Carol J. (Pierce) Harvey.   He graduated from Jefferson Area High School in 1988.  He was married to Tracy Heckert in Cortland, Ohio on September 20, 1997. 

Brad proudly served his country for 6 years as a member of the Ohio National Guard Army Reserves.  He enjoyed remodeling and construction projects, working on cars, country music, cooking and grilling out, and his Saturdays in the park with Christopher.  Brad had one true passion in his life: the love of his family.  He was raised by his parents to always remember that above all comes a man's family.  He was a proud and loving husband, dad, son, brother, uncle and friend.  He will be missed dearly by many.

Survivors include his father Ralph Harvey of Berlin Center, Ohio; his loving wife of 25 years, Tracy; his five children: Shyann (Josh Marshand) of Mansfield, Ohio, Zachary (Ciera McClain), Brandon, Anthony, and Christopher, all of Akron, Ohio; three brothers: Brian A. (Christine) Harvey of Mentor, Ohio, Bruce A. (Robyn) Harvey of Buffalo, New York  & Brett A. (Amanda) Harvey of Ravenna, Ohio;  his grandfather John Pierce of Zephyrhills, FL.; and his nieces and nephews:  David of Longmont, Colorado, Lynsey Roysden of Wickliffe, Ohio, Billy of Auburn, Indiana, Marcus of Cleveland, Ohio, Matthew of University Heights, Ohio, Sebastian and Sylvia. 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the First Community Church of God, 1910 S. Ridge Road W. (ST RT 84) Ashtabula, Ohio.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. with the funeral service starting at 2:00 p.m.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memory Gardens where Brad will be laid to rest next to his mother.

He was preceded in death by his mother and his paternal grandparents and his maternal grandmother.
