Charles C. Supplee, age 79, Lenox Twp., died unexpectedly Saturday evening following a probable coronary in the emergency room at UH-Geneva Medical Center.
He was born May 15, 1941 in Rock Creek, the son of Earl S. & Adaline (Stewart) Supplee and has been an area resident all of his life. He was married to Donna Rae Cunningham on July 11, 1960 in Mercer, PA. Charles was a carpenter with Union Local #95, retiring in 1996.
Charles was in the class of 1960 at Rock Creek High School and was involved with the Rock Creek Alumni Association. He enjoyed car racing, tractor pulls, cutting firewood, mowing grass and “tinkering” in the garage. He always stayed busy and had a hard time sitting still.
Survivors include his wife, Donna; three children, Debby L. (Brian) Huffman of Lenox Twp., Charles K. (Laurie) Supplee of Rock Creek & Tammy A. (James) Maylish of Morgan Twp.; a granddaughter, Jessica McGloin in Connecticut; four sisters, Kay Green of Ashtabula, Linda Telechek of Chesnee, SC, Sandra (Judson) Cole of Roaming Shores & Judy (Jackie) Sams in Georgia and two brothers, Gary (Patty) Watts of W. Farmington & Richard (Debbie) Parker of Ashtabula.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Timothy Kidner, Jr. in 2007 and three brothers, Ronald Supplee and Roger & Jack Watts.
Private graveside services will be held at Rome North Cemetery with Alisa Nierzejewski, Certified Celebrant leading the service.
