Donald Wayne Burrows

Donald Wayne Burrows, 79, passed away on September 23, 2023, at Saybrook Landing in Saybrook, Ohio.

He was born on September 3, 1944, in Titusville, Pennsylvania, the son of Minford D. and Ruth (Vorhees) Burrows.

On January 14, 1972, Don married his beautiful bride, Ruby Ware, they shared fifty-one years of wonderful marriage together until her recent passing on September 1, 2023.

Don was a talented carpenter and furniture builder who owned and operated Burrows Construction. He also owned BSG (Burrows Steel Guitar) where he hand crafted steel guitars and sold to musicians all over the world, no two were alike.

Donald was a member of the Goldwing Riders Club, the Glenn Wayne and the Country Renditions band, Country Gold, and most recently the Fort Huntsburg Band. He enjoyed fishing, classic cars, horses and most importantly spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving children: Rodney K. (Tammie) Riley, Taunya R. (Timothy) Smock and Michelle D. (Larry) Otto; his sister, Janet Burrows; his grandchildren: “R.J.” Riley (Morgan Loza), Adam Spangler (Audrey Swihart), Ashley Spangler, Cameron Wilfong, Christopher and Brandon (Connie) Otto and his great-grandchildren, Rynlee, David and Landon.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife, Ruby and his brother, Keith Burrows.

Calling hours will be held on October 6, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. with a funeral service to immediately follow at 6:00 p.m. at the Pentecostal Community Church in Jefferson, Ohio. Light snacks and coffee will be served after the service for those who wish to stay.
