Hans J. Drews, age 76 of Jefferson, died early Monday morning at his residence.
He was born August 31, 1944 in Hamburg-Uhlenhorat, Germany, the son of the late Wilma Drews and has been a resident of the Jefferson area the past 18 years, coming from Garfield Hts. Hans was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during the Vietnam Era and received the Bronze Star.
He is a retired linesman with the Ohio Bell Telephone Co. and has been a dedicated employee of MobileX the past 17 years. Hans and his wife attended the Eagleville Bible Church and he enjoyed golfing and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, the former Kathleen Marie Bendura; two children, Wendy A. (Brian Hill) Drews-Hill of Denmark Twp. and Hans D. (Kimberly) Drews of Auburn Hills, MI and six grandchildren.
Memorial service will be Saturday at the Eagleville Bible Church, 1981 St. Rt. 45 North, Rock Creek, OH 44084 with Pastor Steve Arsulic officiating. Private burial will be Tuesday at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, OH.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00AM-12:00PM at the church. Please observe social distancing guidelines and masks are required.
