Jean Marie (Carano) Pirinen, 88, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2022, in Concord, Ohio.
She was born on May 19, 1934, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the daughter of Paul and Leta (Lampson) Carano.
Jean graduated from Ashtabula High School in 1952.
Jean married the love of her life, John Pirinen, they shared 40 years of wonderful marriage together until his passing in 2019.
Jean was a homemaker after retiring from the US Postal Service as a mail carrier in Jefferson. Jean also worked at JC Penney’s and was a school bus driver. She loved taking pictures and entered several photo contests. She enjoyed working on the first covered bridge festival calendar for Ashtabula County. Jean loved animals, especially her dog Lady. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling the world, and spending winters in Florida.
She is survived by her loving children: Larry (Sue) Reinke, Robert (Carol) Reinke, Brad (Tara) Reinke, Mike Reinke, Chris Reinke, Dan (Kelly) Reinke and Donna (John) Davies; her stepdaughters: Lori and Tina Pirinen; her thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Pirinen and her son, Arthur Reinke.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2022, from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. with a funeral service to immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. at Fleming Billman Funeral Home, 49 W. Jefferson Street in Jefferson, Ohio. Donations can be made to the Hospice of Western Reserve.
