ASHTABULA - Leo M. Lynagh, 69, passed away July 12, 2021, at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Hospital.
He was born on December 20, 1951, the son of Homer and Lois (VanWinkle) Lynagh.
He graduated from Jefferson H.S. in 1970 and received his bachelor's degree from Wittenberg University. Following graduation from college he enlisted in the US Army and was an Army Ranger in Special Forces.
On May 22, 1999, he married Karen Davis, his loving wife of 22 years.
He is survived by his loving family: his wife Karen; his children: Matthew Lynagh, Laura Beth Lynagh, and Jennifer Lynagh; his brother Larry (Mary) Lynagh and sister Karen Taylor; his stepchildren: Candice Blaine and Kevin Armstrong Jr. and two grandchildren: Evelynn and Gavin Lynagh.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Les and Laddie "Patrick" Lynagh.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2:00 at Fleming-Billman Funeral Home, 323 S. Broadway, Geneva. Calling hours will be held from 12:00-2:00 prior to the funeral. Following the funeral guests are invited to Best Friends Restaurant in Geneva for a reception to honor Leo's life.
