Linda Nichols Obituary

Linda Nichols took her last ambulance ride May 12, 2022, in Jefferson Ohio. She was born in Cleveland on December 27, 1948, to Basil “Bud” Nichols and Pauline (Kozak) Nichols. Who preceded her in death, as did her paternal grandparents, Basil S. and Lois Gertrude Nichols, Maternal grandparents, J.B. and Susie Kozak and her sister-in-law, Nansi Nichols. Over the years, many horses, dogs, and cats shared her heart and home.

Linda loved sports (Thanks Dad!) and was a long-suffering Browns and Indians fan. On that note, she’d like to thank the 2016 NBA Champion Cleveland Cavaliers. As she was sure she would die without witnessing a championship team in Cleveland. Linda had high hopes for the currents Cavs team, and really enjoyed watching them play.

Ice hockey was a favorite. She had season tickets for the Pittsburgh Penguin’s for several years and encouraged everyone to see the NFL game live, because she maintained TV never did it justice.

Linda is survived by her brother Gary (Laura) and sister Penny. She loved them both immensely, and worried about them incessantly. Linda dearly loved her niece, Robin Nichols Delaughter, her great nephew Mark (Rachel) Nichols, and great nieces, Miranda and Kendall Nichols.

Several cousins survive, but two were extra special; Kathy ( Steve) Magda and Dave ( Sharon) Kozak.

Linda loved Elvis, Duke Blue Devils basketball, and reading. She loved retirement, after 37 years as a workshop Specialist at the Ashcraft. Playing the slot machines was fun for her.

Per her wishes, no calling hours, memorial services or funeral will be held. If you wish to make a donation in her memory, please consider ACHS (Humane Society) P.O. Box 422, Jefferson, Ohio 44047.  P.S. Linda – I’ll see you when my chores are through. I don’t know how long I’ll be. So between now and then, until I see you again, I’ll be missing you, Love, Pen.
