Ann Knapp
JEFFERSON- Margaret Ann Knapp, 88, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2023 following a brief illness.
Ann was born in Lumberport, West Virginia on December 24, 1934, the daughter of Wayman and Doris (Martin) Robinson.
She was a proud graduate of Fairmont State College in West Virginia, a school well known for its exceptional College of Education. Between West Virginia and Ohio Ann taught for almost 50 years. She was a teacher locally for Jefferson Elementary.
Ann was a member of the Garden Club, the Pie Investment Club, the Card Club, she volunteered at the Falcon Follies, taught piano lessons, and spent numerous summers selling tickets at Erieview Park at Geneva-on-the-Lake. She was passionate about education and touched countless lives throughout her career. The only thing that gave Ann more joy than teaching was being a mother and a grandmother. Her children and grandchildren were not just family, but they were also her best friends.
She is survived by her loving family: her daughters: Kimberly (Craig) Parks-Harting, Cynthia (Pete) Jurcenko, and Barbara (Ken) Kovach; her grandchildren: Angela (Chris Casey) Munson, Kelly (Greg) Smith, Connor Kovach and Katie Kovach; and her great-grandchildren: Delaney Casey, and Olivia, Charlie, and Daniel Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Eleanor Swiger-Sutton.
In honor of her wishes graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 at Oakdale Cemetery
