ASHTABULA- Mary Elizabeth Hill, 88, passed away at ACMC on January 18, 2021. She was born in Wellsville, WV on December 26, 1932 and was the daughter of Samuel and Mary (Jackson) Howard. Throughout her life she was self-employed and owned and operated her own cleaning company. She was a dedicated Christian and a lifelong member of Grace Christian Assembly Church, where she held the roles of Sunday School Teacher, usher, trustee and treasurer. Evangelist Mary Hill has now taken on a new role in heaven and will be dearly missed. In her spare time she enjoyed reading but she lived her life loving, caring and providing for her family. For Mary, family was everything. She is survived by her proud and loving family: her husband, Larry Hill; her daughter, Rachel Louise Kirk; her granddaughters: Dorian (Lavelle Holley) Howard and Ranita (Brian) Drazen; her great-grandchildren: Domonic Johnson, Malcolm Johnson, Manuel Latorres Jr., D'Leecia Latorres, Ameeah (David) Kulcsar, Brian Drazen Jr. and Nyeemah Drazen; her siblings: Catherine Yates, Betty A. Lyons, Richard Howard, David Howard and Thomas (Beckie) Howard; her very special niece, Anita Haskins, who she loved like a daughter; as well as numerous other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her great-granddaughter: Makeera Drazen, her siblings: Robert Howard, Emmett Howard, Samuel Howard, Jr., Lucille Smith, Alberta Hocker and Margaret Birden. Calling hours will be held on Friday evening from 5:00-7:00 at the Fleming-Billman Funeral Home, 526 W. Prospect Rd. Ashtabula. The funeral will be held on Saturday at Liberty Fellowship Church, 3823 Ann Avenue, Ashtabula at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Harold Nix officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
