Raymond Ellis Urch Jr, 69, of Kingsville passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023.
He was born June 18, 1953, in Ashtabula, OH, the son of Raymond and Patricia (Amsden) Urch.
Ray graduated from Edgewood High School in 1971. The following year he enlisted in the US Navy and very proudly served his country.
On March 23, 1974, he married Gail Perry. He and Gail were blessed with nearly 49 years of marriage, children, grandchildren and a lifetime of family memories. Ray was a hard worker who did so to provide for his family. While he loved the country he served in the military, the only thing he loved more was his family.
He was a member of the Kingsville Orion Masonic Lodge, the VFW, East Ashtabula Club, Young Men’s Social Club, Elks Lodge, Geneva Eagles, Conneaut Moose, and American Legion Post #103. Raymond enjoyed camping, remodeling projects, woodworking, and his Ford trucks.
Survivors include his wife, Gail; their two children; Stacy (James) Lopshire and Tim (Melissa) Urch; his grandsons: Jackson, Corbin, and Hunter; his sister, Diana Adkins; his sister-in-law, Jacque Ryder; his brother-in-law, Marc Perry; and his eight nieces and nephews who he was very close with; as well as his beloved beagles: Lincoln and Andy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and his brothers-in-law, Jeff Perry and Robert Adkins Sr.
Funeral service will be Saturday at 2:00 PM with Military Honors to follow at Fleming & Billman Funeral Home, 526 W. Prospect Rd. Ashtabula. Visitation will also be held Saturday prior to the funeral service from 11:00AM- 1:45PM, with a Masonic Lodge memorial service at 1:45 P.M.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Rays name to the Feed Our Vets Program or to the Kingsville Masonic Lodge, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
